Alexis Sanchez Immortalised With A Full-Sized Version Of Himself In Chile. Photos

Alexis Sanchez has unveiled a statue of himself alongside an Arsenal badge. Sanchez was immortalised with a colourful full-sized version of himself in a Chile kit on a plinth with replica versions of the Copa America and the Copa America's golden ball.

On posts around the main display - which is on show in his hometown of Tocopilla - are logos of the clubs he has turned out for - with Cobreloa, Udinese, Colo-Colo, River Plate, Barcelona and the Gunners created.

The opened took place despite vandals defacing the Colo-Colo badge - who the wing wizard spent time on loan at in 2006-07.

Sanchez came face-to-face with himself just days after losing 1-0 to Argentina - during which he threw a tantrum .

He cut a ribbon and placed his hands and feet in cement - before writing a message.

He is said to have written: "Never feel sad because someone tells you [that] you can't do something in your life. If you have a dream you have to protect it."
