flight passengers wait for donated heart to patient
147 flight passengers had to wait patiently for over an hour to get a donated heart to a patient awaiting. The China Eastern Airlines Flight MU2520 enroute from Shanghai to Wuhan received an emergency request in the evening of June 7, 2017.

A doctor in Wuhan claimed that there was a critically ill patient waiting for a donated heart which required immediate transportation from Hangzhou to Wuhan, while there was no flight between the two cities at that time.

Thus the doctor hoped that the MU2520 would offer help to wait for the donated heart to be transported from Hangzhou to Shanghai then carry the precious organ to Wuhan.

After being informed the emergency, all the 147 passengers on the flight expressed their support and willingness to “wait for the life”. After 79 minutes, the plane carrying the hope of life took off. Fortunately, the heart transplant surgery was successfully carried out. A life was saved.
