Bulgarian Defender Drinks Beer During Match Before Scoring Late Equaliser

 

A Bulgarian defender, Ivan Bandalovski drank beer during match before scoring a late equalizer. In the 28th minute of the match, with the score goalless between the two sides, one supporter decided to throw a half-filled can of beer onto the pitch.

Spotting the object on the field as he adjusted his socks on the sidelines, Bandalovski proceeded to walk over to the beer.

 

But instead of disposing of the can the defender tilted his head back and took a hearty swig, before spitting some of his mouthful back on the pitch.

It’s a tactic that clearly worked as a revitalised Bandalovski went on to score a dramatic equaliser with the final kick of normal time.

With Vereya losing 1-0 to Levski they were given one last chance to keep their Europa League hopes alive when they won a corner in the 93rd minute.
