Heroin baron Sean ‘Lugs’ McGovern has become a dad – but missed the birth of his child because he was behind bars . It is believed the 33-year-old got his fiancée pregnant Jade Cameron while on leave from jail where he is serving 17 years.

His week-long release hit the headlines last year when he was attacked and slashed on the streets of Edinburgh.

  

And now, nine months later the convicted drug dealer has become a dad, the Daily Record reports .

His partner Jade posted on Facebook : "We've waited 9 long months for this proud moment!! Never felt love like this in all my life. I still feel like I'm in a dream with our baby beautiful. "On the 26th April at 23:45 Rocco-Ray McGovern was born our little champ came in to the world weighing 10.3lbs."
 

McGovern was caged in 2009 when he was sentenced to 17 years behind bars.

He was jailed for his role in the Edinburgh heroin empire and for blasting a shotgun as part of a bitter feud with a rival dealer.
