Journalist Escapes Death After His Camera Deflected An ISIS Sniper's Bullet...

A journalist narrowly avoided death when an ISIS sniper's bullet deflected off his GoPro camera. Ammar Alwaely was filming in war-torn west Mosul, Iraq, when he was targeted by one of the terror group's deadly marksmen.

But incredibly, the sniper's shot bounced off his small camera - a gift from a colleague which he was wearing around his neck - smashing part of its exterior casing.

The barrier it created almost certainly stopped the bullet entering his body. Had the shot been aimed a few inches to the right it would have hit his heart, witnesses said.

The team he was travelling with immediately plunged to the ground to escape the sniper's cross hairs and crawled behind a vehicle.

Mr Alwaely received treatment for minor cuts but was otherwise unharmed.
