Chief Of Air Staff Undertakes Operational Visit To Adamawa State. Photos

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal SB Abubakar, undertook a routine operational visit to the Nigerian Air Force unit in Yola on 29 April 2017. The primary purpose of the visit was to ascertain the state of readiness of facilities being put in place to operate and maintain some of the recently acquired platforms by the Nigerian Air Force.

The visit revealed that most of the facilities were indeed ready. The apron had been expanded to provide more maneuverability for the increased number of aircraft while taxiing on ground. Additional shelters being constructed for the new aircraft were also nearly completed.

The Chief of the Air Staff equally inspected the Liquid Oxygen (LOX) Plant that was being constructed to facilitate the supply of Liquid Oxygen for use by Nigerian Air Force fighter pilots. It is noteworthy that upon completion of the plant, the Nigerian Air Force would be able to supply Liquid Oxygen for use by surrounding hospitals.

Air Marshal Abubakar seized the opportunity of the operational visit to directly interact with the Nigerian Air Force personnel in the front-line towards addressing their welfare needs.
