Narrating their ordeal, despite the initial set back they experienced as a result of a fellow beggar, Sadi Ahmed, carting away N7, 355 which was meant for constructing the plane before, the duo said they never relented on their effort until their aim and objective to construct the plane was achieved.
According to Nafiu Saadu, aged 13, he said, “As others were roaming the streets, begging for food remnants and help, we choose to be creative, and as you can see our idea is paying off, because the moment we display our plane, people give us money in exchange,” he said.
Asking where the idea came from, the eldest, Abdulrahman Abubakar said, “we usually sight planes, and so we decided to make a replica.”Asked if they wanted formal education, Saadu said, “If today we find someone ready to sponsor our schooling, we are ready to study.”
