See The Moment Policemen Stormed Football Match For Drugs Raid...

Violence erupted when Dutch police decided to carry out a drugs raid in the middle of a crunch match between Eredivisie sides FC Twente and PSV Eindhoven. Officers with riot shields and batons were filmed fighting hardcore FC Twente fans as they searched for drugs in the stadium in the eastern Netherlands. But even as chaos reigned the match continued.

Players were seen glancing up in amazement as loudspeakers ordered that all supporters leave the Grolsch Veste stadium.

The wild scenes continued outside the stadium, with riot police fighting pitched battles against furious FC Twente supporters.

Hooligans threw stones at police, who used horse charges to help disperse the crowd.

Local Dutch media reported that one female office was pulled from her horse and brutally assaulted by several supporters.

Three Twente fans were arrested for their part in the altercations and two more also taken into custody outside the stadium.

The arrests were in connection with a large-scale narcotics operation.

Police reported seizing a large quantity of drugs and some fake weapons in the home of some of the supporters.
